It was such an honor to be a part of yet another homecoming.
These are one of my absolute favorite kinds of sessions to do.

I believe these photos speak for themselves.

Thank you so much {GFam} for letting me be there to welcome your soldier home.
Thank you for everything you sacrifice for us.

I’ve been watching these kids grow for years and I love them all to death.

The best part about photographing this family? It’s always so fun and relaxed.

This was just screaming summer to me....

(can you tell who rules the kiddos?)

love

Her mom told me "try not to get any of the pre-teen attitude"....what attitude?!

He's getting SO big, Mr. GQ!

Because I absolutely LOVE outtakes..

These kiddos define lifestyle.
Thanks B Fam, I love you guys!

Meet the M Family. They look so calm and average in this photo, do they not?
In fact, they are anything but…

What I love about lifestyle is truly seeing peoples LIVES. How they live and play.
This family has an amazing property in Franktown that is perfect for their two beautiful energetic children.

Thank you M Fam for letting me come and capture your life.

(That's my little man, Davs, up there. Circa 2009)

I’m exaggerating, just a little.

It can’t save your life, but it could save your marriage.
If your husband is not quite as nice as mine, it could possibly save your life.

The story of how professional photography, an honest person (and Facebook) saved me from a well deserved beat down.

About a month ago, I lost my wedding ring.
My wedding ring is not the most expensive thing in the world, but it’s very sentimental.
In fact, it’s so sentimental, that I took a photograph of it (with my other rings) at my own wedding.

(it's the adorable blue one on the left)

This is a common “detail shot” among photographers. Showing off the bling.
I got artsy when we were on the beach after the ceremony and took a quick shot.

Apparently this photograph is good for more than just showing off the rock (ha ha….yeah I’ll stop)

After I lost said ring, I retraced my steps back to a church who has… a FACEBOOK page!
Yup.

Lo and behold, I posted on their wall…and someone responded.
But, she needed more than a description.
Enter my professional photo, that everyone thought was in vain.

I might be a little extreme but I believe professional photography (and a few other little miracles)
saved me from…

Better late than never, right?

On our trip to New Jersey/Pennsylvania, we had the opportunity to stay with some friends…the Haggerty family.
It was a little nerve wracking, none of us had actually met in person…

Quite obviously, we didn’t have a hard time settling in. Less than 24 hours after landing Davs (in the back) is chillin’ in his undies.

We had a wonderful time with the Haggerty’s AND we were able to get them some really cool family photos.
We did our session at the Eastern State Penitentiary , fitting since her husband works at the Federal Pen!

Three kids under five...nervous? No way.

Love!

and although we had hoped to do two halves of a lifestyle session (family and kiddos) we only got the kiddos at bath time :(
But I do dearly love bath time lifestyle photos!

Thank you so much Haggerty Family for your hospitality. We miss you guys already!
