Little Miss Sofia Marie entered the world on 12/1
Babies are a funny thing, it’s like they just KNOW when they are needed.
My immediate family has recently gone through some very difficult trauma and I believe this little girl will begin to help all of us heal.
It’s a big weight on her shoulders, but she’s stolen my heart already.

Little Miss Ariah (big sister!) This took Dora, a couch and daddy acting like an idiot behind the curtains.
I’m such a proud auntie. We all make the most beautiful children.
I know it’s taboo to not show “consistency” in a set (going from studio to lifesytle) but I just love doing things against the grain.
So, enjoy this mixed up set.
Congratulations to my big brother and his family.
Peace.
Little man fell asleep on his floor after nap strike.
This really reminded me of the silent night (pampers) commercials.
Christmas IS peace.
(most of the time)
Oh Little J, it’s been awesome watching you grow.
Happy 2nd Birthday sweet boy.
Thank you (and your awesome family) for letting me share it with you.
For day 6, we got crafty.
Another pinterest find (the canvas idea) we made a hand print tree.
I realized I haven’t really immortalized my child at certain ages as often as I should, I’m so busy taking photos I forget his little hands will grow soon.
Maybe when he’s 18, I can hang this next to the turntable butt photo and really embarrass him!
I fuged a little again today. One of my favorite families called for a last minute session this afternoon before I had time to think up my daily photo.
I can’t ever say no, they’re just wonderful.
You’ve seen them all over my site, no doubt.
This photo just warmed my heart, all the elements of Christmas I could think of. Mother & Child, Newborn, Lights, Peace, and of course friendship.
Cause honestly, you’re pretty freakin’ special if I drive 30+ miles to your house in -5 degree weather for your family pics <3
Love you {MFam!}
Today we put up our Christmas Decor.
Thanks to my bff pinterest, I was able to do a lot of really cool things around the house for super cheap.
I’m nothing if not frugal when it comes to household stuff, photos/heirlooms are a different story!

My favorite ornaments on the tree are the sparkly ones. We do blue & silver, I made a "red room" in the front with red and gold muted.
I am also doing a Christmas card banister, making my own wreath, hanging giant snowflakes in our open space and making an old ornament chandelier.
I’ll post pictures soon. For now, day 4 is all about the Christmas decor. Enjoy!
My blog today is all about new life.
Because isn’t that truly the reason we celebrate on December 25th?
On December 1st, my beautiful niece (second born to my big brother)
Entered this world happy, healthy and loved.
Thanks to the snow storm that day, I wasn’t able to see her until yesterday.
Of course, I’m in love.
He won’t admit it yet, but I think my little man is too.
Yes, technically I’m a little late.
After seeing 3 clients today I was running behind!
Can’t have Christmas without lights of course
Little Man and I went out to the lights in Downtown Castle Rock with
the girl who I share The Studio (303) with Debra Dean and her kiddos.
Just fun playing with NO natural/ambient light and lots of xmas lights
I’m challenging myself for 3/25 to NOT be my kiddo
After spending most of 2011 with my head in the clouds (and my face behind the camera)
I decided that I would take my December hiatus to challenge myself to a daily photo project.
25 days of Christmas.
Day 1- SNOW!
It hasn’t snowed here since OCTOBER (no joke) so December 1st was a day to celebrate.
(Not to mention my sweet baby niece was born today)
My little guy and I went out to celebrate one of the best parts of Christmas…snow.
Enjoy (there are a lot)
Hey, if I don’t make it to day two I can just say that my kiddo is the spirit of Christmas, right?!
Another fun set from a few weeks ago with the {LFam}
Thanks {LFam} for an eventful year!
